Lift High The Cross

In 2020 St. Luke's Junior Warden realized that the cross on our bell tower was about to come loose and fall to the ground. After hanging high on the tower for over 50 years, the cross was professionally removed and the bell tower hasn't had anything on it since. Now, the Lift High The Cross committee is tasked with getting our church a new cross for the bell tower. This endeavor will need $14,000! You can donate today to help us reach our goal! We will begin outdoors with a bonfire on the labyrinth, lighting the new fire as we proclaim the light of Christ breaking into the darkness. From there, we move into this powerful and ancient liturgy of story, prayer, and resurrection hope.

The Easter Vigil is the first celebration of Easter — a dramatic and beautiful service that carries us from darkness into light.

As the season of Advent draws to its joyful close, we invite you to join us at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church for a beautiful and meaningful celebration of Christmas Eve. Whether you come with family, friends, or on your own, you’ll find a welcoming community, familiar carols, candlelight, and the deep hope of Christ’s birth.

5:00 PM – Family-Friendly Christmas Eucharist
Our early service is designed with families and children in mind. This joyful liturgy includes carols, the Christmas story, and a warm, relaxed atmosphere. All ages are welcome to participate in the wonder of the Nativity.

7:00 PM – Lutheran Liturgy with New Day Lutheran Church
We are delighted to again worship alongside our friends from New Day Lutheran Church . This service follows the Lutheran liturgical tradition, with Father James preaching . Come experience the richness of shared ministry and the beauty of ecumenical celebration on this holy night.

9:00 PM – Traditional Episcopal Candlelight Eucharist
Our late service offers the classic beauty of Episcopal liturgy, complete with incense, candlelight, and beloved Christmas hymns. Pastor Ann will preach , inviting us into the mystery and hope of the Incarnation as Christmas morning draws near.

No matter which service you attend, you’ll be welcomed with open hearts and the joy of the season.

Wednesday Eucharist: 1pm, Parish Hall Join Father James for a quiet intimate worship service in the parish hall every Wednesday at 1pm!

Sunday Bible Study: 9:15, Upstairs Conference Room Father James goes over a text each week. The study is in between the 8am and the 10:30am services. Grab a drink, some food and head upstairs.

Diocesan Convention 58 Youth Session Inspiring worship and activities. Date: Nov 7-8 Location: Shoshone Bannock Hotel Come ready to grow, laugh, and make a difference as we explore what it means to be the church—together. Bring a friend (or two!) and join the movement! Bishop Jos Tharakan visited Sunday October 10/21/25

This past Sunday, we were blessed to welcome Bishop Jos Tharakan, for a joyful and spirit-filled visit to St. Luke’s. The bishop presided and preached at our morning service, sharing an inspiring message.

Following worship, the congregation gathered for a potluck meal , where Bishop Jos spent time with parishioners, answered questions, and shared insights about the ministry and mission of the Episcopal Church today. We give thanks for Bishop Jos’s warm presence, pastoral care, and encouragement as we continue growing together in faith, service, and love.

Breaking Boundaries

Join us for this annual fundraiser!

When: Friday December 5, 2025

Time: 6pm

Where: Elks Lodge 640 E Elva St, Idaho Falls 83401

What: Breaking Boundaries is a celebration and fundraiser for those who are underserved in Southeastern Idaho. Once a year, the community comes together for this epic fundraiser. It is typically themed dress, this year is Steampunk. You will have to google that if you are unfamiliar with the term!

Angie Lee has bought us a silver table for $2500 but she will donate part of the cost, so a table for 8 comes to $150/seat, unless you want to donate more.

This table is for both New Day Lutheran and St. Luke's Episcopal people!

At the event there is a silent auction for individuals, and a cake auction by table. Dinner is provided with your seat. There is a bar available for drinks.

Contact Angie Lee to pay or come to the office and we will take care of it for you! This ad will come down when the table is fully seated! These typically go fast so hurry!

Bishop Jos Upcoming Visit

Bishop Jos visit

Bishop Jos Tharakan is set to visit us on October 19th, coinciding with our celebration of St. Luke's Day. A professional photographer will be on hand to capture beautiful images of our cherished church for our website. Following the 10:30am worship service, we will enjoy a potluck feast. Those with last names A-N are asked to bring sides and salads, while O-Z should bring desserts.
